ROSWELL, Ga. — Roswell restaurants are once again gearing up to showcase their finest during the third annual Roswell Restaurant Week. This year’s event runs from Jan. 22-31 in 32 restaurants around the city and is presented by Roswell Inc, the city’s economic development arm.
“Our restaurant community is at the very heart of one of our top five industries in the city — food and hospitality,” said Steve Stroud, executive director of Roswell Inc. “This event is designed to support and strengthen this industry by showcasing all the unique dining options we have in Roswell, while inviting both locals and newcomers to experience our city’s flourishing culinary scene.”
Throughout the week, guests are invited to choose from special chef-driven prix fixe menus at each of the participating restaurants. The prix fixe menus offer a full meal, complete with several courses, at a fixed price. Customers can choose, for example, from one of three appetizer, entrée and dessert options for one discounted price.
More than five new restaurants are joining the culinary celebration as well as returning favorites. The 32 participating restaurants will feature foods for every palate and price point. Lunches range from $10-$20, while dinners range from $25-45.
The prix fixe menus not only showcase some of the restaurants’ signature favorites, but they may also be an opportunity for chefs to test a new dish and potentially add it to their menu.
Roswell Inc has presented Restaurant Week for three years now, but before that, it was a grassroots idea, according to Carisa Turner, director of communications and public relations for Roswell Inc.
“It’s such a huge economic driver for the city,” Turner said.
Roswell Inc also hosts a sister event in June called Summer Sippin’ which showcases unique cocktails to try and rate all month long.
This year’s Restaurant Week is sponsored by Gas South.
