ROSWELL, Ga. – Carnival was in full swing Feb. 6 for the inaugural Roswell Mardi Gras Ball. Hosted by Voilà Salon in Historic Roswell, the Bow Ties and Pearls ball saw some of Roswell’s finest don face masks and beads to help support the Emory Hospital ALS Center and the Roswell Woman’s Club.
About 350 people attended the event at the Country Club of Roswell in Willow Springs and, together, helped raise over $107,000 for the groups.
Ruby Red’s Band busted out the New Orleans-style jazz to get people dancing while acrobats from the Aerial Silks of Sky Gym Atlanta danced and twirled and even poured glasses of champagne while upside down.
Artists from Atlanta Live Art Painters painted original portraits of a model live, then and there. The paintings were available as part of the evening’s silent auction.
